1. What we collect
When you create a Syllio account we collect the email address (or phone number) you sign in with, your display name, and the role you select (student or parent). When you use the product we store the academic, club, and volunteer data you choose to add — classes, tasks, attendance, hours, portfolio entries — so we can show it back to you across devices.
2. Syllabus uploads
When you scan a syllabus we send the image to our AI processing partner for the sole purpose of extracting deadlines. We do not keep the original PDF or photo after the extraction completes — only the extracted text and dates are saved to your account.
3. What we never do
We do not sell your data. We do not show ads. We do not share your portfolio publicly unless you turn on the share link.
4. Sharing
Limited data is shared with the services that make Syllio work: authentication, database hosting, payments (Stripe), and AI inference. Each one only sees what it needs to perform its job.
5. Students under 13
Syllio is designed for middle-school students and older. If you are under 13, you may use Syllio only with verifiable parental consent. Parents can email us to review or delete a child's data at any time.
6. Your controls
You can export your data, delete individual items, or delete your account entirely from the Profile tab. Account deletion permanently removes your classes, tasks, club memberships, volunteer logs, and portfolio.
